Life’s Happenings

This week is absolutely crazy.  We have 4 games in 5 days.  I am hosting 2 get-togethers.  And oh yeah, we have 3 kids.
Basketball season gets underway tonight.  We are looking forward to cheering on our favorite team!  Wish me luck as I juggle 3 kids during the game!
Greg and I went on a breakfast date this morning.  It was great.
I was sick last week (and I mean SICK!).  Got me thinking how thankful I am for my health and the health of those I love.  Also reminded me how thankful I am for medicine and an amazing doctor.
Allie is waking up twice a night but I don’t mind.   I treasure the quiet time I get with her—even if it’s at 2 a.m.
My parents and grandma are coming for Thanksgiving this year.  I am ecstatic!
It’s easy to let the chaos of busy children and busy schedules pull a marriage apart.   Greg and I have chosen to let it draw us closer together.  I am so thankful for a husband who has had my back like crazy lately.
We went to a comedy show on Saturday night with friends.  It was a great night of fun and laughter.

Don't you just love this Mr. and Mrs. Pilgrim set?  They remind me of home.

Boys have been playing really well together lately.  Here they are playing "store".  Notice Will's Coach change purse?  And notice he is buying 2 gourds?

Sweet baby girl is 5 1/2 months old.  We just adore her.

Remember how I mentioned that the boys have been playing really well together?  Well they've been fighting like crazy too!  Here is a fat lip to prove it.
Have a great day, blog friends!

Last week I was feeling a little down about the constant conflict it seemed I was having with our second born, Will.  It seemed as though we were constantly bumping heads and I hate that feeling as a mother!  So, thanks to a dear friend of mine, I treated him out for a special mommy/son date.  It was great!  I SO enjoyed devoting all my attention to him and simply enjoying good conversation with my funny 2 year old J  Things aren’t perfect and I still face many parenting challenges and struggles daily but I’d say the date did us some good!

We went to the pumpkin patch.  Had some hot chocolate, picked out pumpkins and gourds, jumped on the pumpkin moon bounce, and of course, rode the tractor.

I love these pictures because he looks soooo content and so happy.

I hope I get to go on another date with this special guy again soon!

 Hi there.
It seems like all of a sudden life got busy.  Reeeeal busy.
Preschool, basketball practice, choir,  MOPS, late recruiting nights, cooking (oh, the cooking!), laundry, etc.  It seems like we are booked almost every day of the week.
And where on earth did September go?  Can’t believe it’s the 2nd of October already!
Little missy fell asleep while Dad showered the other day.  I thought it was the cutest thing.  Don't you?

Dad usually has bedtime duty.  I love love love how happy the boys are when they are with their daddy.  Plus it gives me a much needed break at that hour.
Plus Cold Case usually comes on then :)

Big brother Will is quite rough and wild, but is super attentive to his little sister’s needs.  He is always trying to comfort her with blankets, dolls, toys, and yes, even tries to feed her sometimes :/
She is very well brother protected.

Our little pumpkin is now 4 1/2 months old and as sweet as ever!
 Have a great Wednesday!
