Allie Claire

I am a week overdue...
Last Wednesday afternoon we welcomed with love and joy, Allie Claire, to our family.
We've prayed for this baby to be the perfect fit to our family and thank God for hearing our prayers!

Mother's Day

While I would have preferred to celebrate this Mother’s Day with the newest little Tonagel, I couldn’t feel like a luckier mama!

And what makes this Mother’s Day particularly special—my OWN mother is here!  I strive to be like her on MANY levels.  Hope to be half the woman she is!

Ten reasons I am ready to have this baby...
1.  My face is puffy.
2.  My back aches due to my incredible lopsidedness.
3.  I don't sleep.
4.  My attitude has reached new levels.
5.  I am hormonal
6.  I waddle when I walk.
7.  Pregnancy brain (forgot the name of a paper weight the other day.  I was like "what do you call that thing that weighs down paper?"  Oy!)
8.  Tired of wearing pants with elastic panel!
9.  Stranger's comments (i.e. "you look miserable", "When are you due?...Last week?"
10.  Ready to meet our precious baby already!

Hoping my next post shares some good news!
Happy Mother's Day, friends!

Let Freedom Ring!

I told my hubs last night that I desperately needed a day off.
As in, a day with no responsibility.
Well, grocery shopping at 2 different stores, 3 loads of laundry, and a good floor-cleaning isn’t exactly my idea of “no responsibility” but it’s better than some days.
Well, he heard my cry.
He decided to pack the boys up with our trusty buddy Ethan and go camping for the night.
Even though they’re calling for thunderstorms tonight :/
And the boys were a tad cranky.
And it’s HOT out right now.
Blog friends, do you know what this means?
It means an empty, quiet, clean house for me, muah, yours truly!
Of course I miss the boys when they are gone.
But truthfully, I’m not mad a bit!

Can you guess what J's favorite color is?

Let's hope the campgrounds has cell phone service in case this little baby plans to make her grand appearance tonight!
This is the first time in weeks that I wouldn't mind she hold off one more night...

I'm off to... relax!
