Our day began with some good, ol' fashioned female pampering... manicures and pedicures. That's right. What girl isn't up for a little foot rub, trashy magazines, and mimosas amongst great friends? And did I mention I was kid free? Bonus! Friday morning started the craziness of the wedding festivities. We coordinated rides, visits, polished off our toast (after being edited, then deleted accidentally), and finally made it to the rehearsal dinner. The weather was PERFECT and the venue was just beautiful. My kids weren't on their best behavior but they did well considering the craziness of the day. My mom and dad know how to throw a wicked party! We had a great time!
Here is the Regatta Place where the rehearsal was held.
Aunt JJ and Uncle Darren.
Aunt Yoyo and Uncle Jolly.
The handsome groom!
Ben surrounded by some of the women in his life (now marrying into a family of more girls... poor guy)!
I am sad that I don't have more pictures to show for this beautiful day. Wedding post to come soon!
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy! Our life is never dull with all these boys! Here is a quick update on Jace and Will.
My first born son is one giant ball of BOY. He loves sports, dirt, trucks, tractors, and anything and everything boy. His vocabulary has really taken off and it has been fun to communicate with him that way. He is now sleeping in a big boy bed and loving every minute of it. He proudly tell us each morning "I sleep in big bed, Mommy/Daddy"! We are so proud of the little boy he is becoming! He is sweet and sensitive but strong willed and determined too. I like to think he gets the former from me and the latter from his dad :)
Now for my second born... I am head over heels in love with this baby. He is so darn easy to love! I can't believe he will be turning 6 months old in just 2 weeks! He is rolling over constantly, teething like crazy, and giggling when anyone looks at him! We love that Will is our son!
Here he is with his best buddy, Joshua. Joshua was boxing Will out. His father would have been proud! Check out our sweet William's mohawk. He's like a little chick! See what I mean by easy to love??
We just returned back from a quick (too quick) trip to Rhode Island. My big brother was married on Saturday and we had a blast joining in this celebration. The boys did great and were spoiled with lots of attention from their many aunts and uncles, grandparents, great grandparents, and many good family friends. The boys performed less than average in our travels out there but pleasantly surprised us on our travels home (they were even complimented several times)! I will post pictures of our trip as soon as I get my hands on some (I forgot my camera daggonit).
Do not give up on me! I have been super busy the last few weeks with classes, a traveling husband, baby showers, triathlons, etc. that I have sadly pushed blogging aside. As soon as we get back from my big brother's wedding (holy cow, my big bro is getting married!) next week I hope to get back into the swing of things (which not only includes blogging but cleaning, grocery shopping, and paying bills too). Until then, here are a couple of pictures from the weekend. All Tonagel boys + wives - Malorie (prego) participated in a sprint triathlon on Saturday. As I may have mentioned in an earlier post, I wasn't exactly thrilled when we signed up for this but I am so glad we did. It ended up being a great experience (even though I was in tears just minutes before the horn sounded--thanks Megan for helping me keep it together)! It was a great excuse to kickstart my butt in gear but I also learned a lot through the training/competing process. It was also a great reminder that Phil 4:13 holds true, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength". Thanks to all my cheerleaders for encouraging me to complete this!! And great job to the rest of my family who participated!
Doesn't Jace look thrilled to cheer his family on?
