3 Years of Bliss!

Here are a few pictures of our week.  Greg had a pretty low-key week at work so we were able to get in some quality family time.  Greg and I also celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on Thursday and we went out for an evening alone.  It was so nice!  We tried a new restaurant called Stone Creek Dining Company and had such an enjoyable evening together.  It was fun reminiscing about when we dated,  our first couple years of marriage, and of course our 8 1/2 month old baby boy!  Oh and FYI, if you haven't checked this website out click here to get great discounts on some really good restaurants.  That's how we decided on the place for dinner.  This website was running a special for a $25 gift certificate for only $2 so we were able to eat really well for fairly inexpensive.  You should try it!

A family photo before we took off on our date.  Jace was spending the evening with Jeff and Tiffany so he didn't care that we were leaving :(
Yes, that's drool all over his sweatshirt.  Ahh... the joys of cutting teeth.
I feel like he aged a couple years in this picture.  Doesn't he look old?
Daddy's boy...
We can't figure it out.  Jace doesn't give us any indication to whether he likes or dislikes the swing.  He just stays completely neutral!  Also, wasn't sure what he thought about the slide, but I had fun!

Hope everyone has a great week!  We leave on Tuesday for our trip to D.C. Can't wait!!!

Greg wanted to let me sleep in one morning so he and Jace hopped on the bike and headed for class.  Greg actually look Jace to class with him!  It was such a nice break... I couldn't believe it when he came in and announced it was 9:30 am.  I don't remember the last time I slept in that late!

We met a couple of friends at the park on Friday for some jungle gym fun.  Jace wasn't sure what to think of the swing at first...
But he slowly warmed up to it...
And eventually had a little fun!

This is his buddy Jackson.  Poor Jackson broke his leg a few weeks ago and is stuck in a full leg cast.  It doesn't seem to bother him too much.  He does most everything a normal 2 year old does, just with a little limp.  He's a cutie.  We love spending time with him and his mom Amie!

On Saturday morning, I participated in a 5K run.  It was a BEAUTIFUL morning and Jace's girlfriend Tiffany came out to play with him while I ran (he LOVES that girl).

This was us before the race.  He was giving me a pre-run pep talk:)  Having them there at the finish line helped me get through that last stretch!
I just can't resist bath pictures... so sweet!

Jace was sick for the first time over the past week.  He had a slight fever, nasal congestion, and an awful cough.  I am happy to say that he is almost back to normal.  We had some long nights together so I am glad that we are on the tail end of this!  I didn't mind all the snuggling and cuddling we got to do... but I much prefer happy, healthy Jace.  Can't you see why?!

Jace with Dad...
And Mom!
We are leaving for Washington D.C. next Tuesday.  We are really looking forward to Greg's brothers wedding and visiting with my folks and sisters.  Also, I will get to see some childhood friends and introduce them to Jace.  It will be a busy time, but a fun one!

ALL boy!

Jace loves being outside and I do too!  He especially likes to watch Dad do yard work, watch cars drive by, and eat grass (yes, you read that right).  Greg was watching him a few days ago and he carried Jace in with grass hanging out both sides of his mouth... yuck!  He is SO active these days.  I have trouble keeping up and getting much done during the day because he is in to EVERYTHING!  He is at a very fun age and I am not in any hurry for him to grow up any faster than he already is.  Why didn't anyone warm me that they grow up fast (just kidding, I have always heard it but didn't actually believe it until I had one of my own).

A friend of ours gave us this trailer which attaches to the back of Greg's bike.  We took our first family bike ride over the weekend and had a blast!  Jace was jib-jabbering the whole time.. it was a hoot!
We think he looks SO much like his cousin Charlie in this picture.
Jace loves his daddy time.  He is always happy in Dad's arms (not to mention it gives me a nice break too).  Jace is 100% boy... loves anything with wheels, balls, and wrestling with Dad.

Last weekend I took Jace to Canton, OH to meet his Great Grandmother Jamieson.  He also got to see my parents and show off all his new skills.  For Mother's Day Jace got my mom a web cam so we can skype and he can get more face-time with his Rhode Island grandparents!  We had such a nice visit and like always, it was so hard saying goodbye.  It made it a little easier because we will see them again in 3 short weeks!

Check out those teeth!
I forgot to mention... Jace just passed the 8 month old mark!  He is crawling, pulling himself up, standing shortly on his own, and has 4 teeth!

I just love being his mommy!
