A Well Rested Night

Jace slept great last night (mommy and daddy did too)! I think he is finally starting to be more satisfied with his feedings and sleeping longer. We are enjoying him so much. He loves being outside. We are taking advantage of this beautiful fall weather and try and make it outside everyday. He loves to lay on his back on a blanket in the grass and stare into the sky. It is so fun to watch him look around and to wonder what he is thinking. He is so curious! Greg and I feel so blessed to have Jace in our lives. We know every stage of life is special, but we hate to see this time pass so quickly. He will be 3 weeks old tomorrow!

Sweet baby boy

We survived our first 2 weeks at home! Thanks to great friends and family we are getting through this fast changing time. Our transition to parenthood has gone fairly smooth so far. Jace has been great. We are getting into somewhat of a routine. He is sleeping pretty well at night, waking up just 1 or 2 times. Greg has really stepped up to the plate(or should I say, stepped up to the free throw line) and is already a great father! He could use a little work on his diaper changing skills, but we are working on that. We can't believe how much we love him already! We have so much fun talking about the young man we see him becoming. Our day consists of about 10 feedings, 12 diaper changes, a long walk, and 1000 kisses. Greg and I are competing to see who has kissed him more...I think I am in the lead. We will update pictures soon. Love to you all!

Life with Jace

It is so nice to finally be home and settling in with our son (we can't believe we have a son)! There have been some challenges and hurdles, but life with him has been so good! He has been eating and sleeping well during the day. He goes though a fussy period each night, but has overall been a really good baby! Nursing him has been the most difficult obstacle but we are working through it! Greg and I are in awe of this beautiful baby boy who we get to help shape and mold--we are so happy! We had so many of our close family and friends visit us at the hospital and spoil Jace with gifts. Everyone has been so generous--thanks to all! We can't wait for Jace to meet the rest of his family soon!!

Welcome Jace Gregory Tonagel!

Our baby boy was finally born yesterday, His name is Jace Gregory. September 10, 2008! We are so excited to announce his long awaited arrival. He was 8 ibs. 7 oz. and 21 inches long. He is doing great! We are in awe of him and this life that we have been blessed with. We can't quite figure out who he looks like yet. I'm thinking he probably will look like a Tonagel with those dominant features of theirs... However, he does have the cutest little dimples which are a Jamieson trait. Our first night together was good, but very exhausting! He wanted to be fed then held the whole night. Of course, he is sleeping now that we have to be awake! It has been so fun getting to know our baby the last 24 hours. We will update soon! Thanks to all for your support!

Waiting Game

Do you like the guy shaving on the TV?

We are waiting anxiously (and impatiently) for this little baby to arrive! We have definitely taken advantage of the last few months as a twosome, but we are ready for our world-changing addition. My doctors visits have been going well. The baby seems to be very healthy and continues to grow larger. He/she is still very active and it has been fun trying to identify baby parts. School is back in session and Greg is slowly getting busier. We have enjoyed spending time with the basketball players and have been surprised in their interest in the baby. They are so excited! I also think they like teasing their coach about having a baby girl. We will keep you posted with any news we have! We appreciate everyone's prayers and support throughout this time. So many people have helped make this such an enjoyable and exciting experience for us!
