Cornholer of the Week

I was named Cornholer of the Week! Check out the website--http://www.cornhole.com/weeklycornholer.htm. I would like to thank my 4th grade softball coach for teaching me everything I know about aiming a bag full of corn into a hole and to my parents who taught me that I can be whatever I wanted to be. I am truly honored to be your Cornholer of the Week.

I'd like a large Coney please!

Just got back from my weekly check-up! Everything looks good and things are continuing to progress(slowly). The doctor shared a slight concern with the size of our baby and being able to have this baby naturally. She did assure us that this baby will be sure to have a wonderfully shaped cone-head if it does come naturally...yay! We are just thankful that whichever way this baby is born, it will get here safely! Being pregnant has been tiring, but overall so enjoyable! We are ready for this journey to end and our new one to begin! Please be praying for a safe and healthy delivery.

Now that's a belly!

Just wanted to update those of you who haven't seen me in a while. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I will update more then. Greg and I are just playing the waiting game now. We can't wait to meet our little one!

36 1/2 weeks

I saw the doctor today for my 36 week check-up. The baby had a heart rate of 130 beats per minute and measured in at 39 centimeters. She warned me that this little baby is not so little. The doc guessed that the baby weighed approximately 7 1/2 pounds. Everything is looking good and my body is doing what it is supposed to be doing at this point. My cervix is effaced 50% now. I have been feeling well, but have been experiencing some serious Braxton Hicks. Sometimes I find myself not being able to even take a step because of the sharp pains. They aren't consistent, but I have them just about everyday. We are getting so anxious to meet our little one.

Greg and I returned from Newport, RI last night. We really had a blast visiting with family and seeing old friends. The wedding was a success(even after all the glitches that you can expect from a wedding). Lauren and Ben are now married and honeymooning in St. Thomas. She was a beautiful bride and we feel blessed to have such a wonderful addition to our family in Ben. The weather was absolutely perfect. It was a nice vacation to have before our family starts to expand and things really get crazy!

Our little honey(dew)!

Check out where our precious little baby will be sleeping! Thanks to such generous grandma's we were able to get some really nice things for the nursery. My mom contributed the glider and Greg's mom bought us our crib. Having the nursery ready is just one small thing adding to our excitement of becoming parents. I just passed the 35 week mark yesterday--I can't believe it! My body is starting to prepare for birthing this baby. I have been experiencing some Braxton Hicks contractions pretty regularly for a couple of days now--a little scary! He/she continues to move a lot. As baby grows bigger and kicks get stronger, I am getting more and more uncomfortable. Sleep is routinely interrupted(but I better get used to that) and being on my feet all day is starting to wear on me a little bit. Other than these typical pregnancy battles, I really am doing great. The baby is now about 18 inches long and weighs about 5 1/4 pounds. He/she is about the size of a honeydew melon. My last doctor's appt. went well and she will be seeing me weekly from here on out.
Greg returns home from the Dominican Republic on Tuesday. He reported in today that he and his team were doing awesome and he was so proud of his guys. They are doing construction to help build a church there and putting on a camp for kids. He said he felt challenged by the guys on his team because they were working so hard, he could hardly keep up! When he returns we will be heading to Newport, RI for my sister's wedding. After that, bring on the baby!
